Kerri J. Gantt, LHRM, CMM, FACMPE

Kerri Gantt has been in the field of Health Care Management since 1986, having held positions in both medical office and ambulatory surgical settings.

For the past 15 years, Kerri has been employed by Gastroenterology Associates of S. W. Florida, P.A., and Barkley Surgicenter, Inc., overseeing the business and clinical aspects of the organizations.

Kerri was Past President of Health Management Association in 2005. She is an active member of Professional Association of Health Care Office Managers, and Medical Group Management Association.

Kerri is a Licensed Health Care Risk Manager in the State of Florida, she is a Certified Medical Manager, and a Fellow in the American College of Medical Practice Executives.

Kerri earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Care Administration from Barry University in Miami Shores, Dade County, Florida.

Michele Aycock, CMM, Office Manager

Michele Aycock has been in the field of Health Care since 1995, having held positions in both medical office and hospital settings.

For the past 10 years, Michele has been employed by Gastroenterology Associates of S. W. Florida, P.A., overseeing the daily operations of the office.

Michele has been the Member at Large for the past 2 years with Health Management Association. She is an active member of Professional Association of Health Care Office Managers, and Health Management Association.

Michele is a Certified Medical Manager, which was obtained through Professional Association of Health Care Office Managers in 2006.

Vona Parker, RN, Endoscopy Manager

Vona has been in the nursing field for over 30 years with experience in Orthopedics, Emergency Room, Ob Office, Wound Care, and Gastroenterology. She has been involved in Gastroenterology Nursing for the past 11 years. Prior to moving to Florida in 2005, she was manager of an ambulatory surgery center for a group of colorectal surgeons in Omaha Nebraska.

For the past 4 years Vona has been employed at Barkley Surgicenter Inc. and Gastroenterology Associates of S.W. Florida. She started as a staff nurse, then worked as charge nurse, and then moved up to her current position as Endoscopy Manager of Barkley Surgicenter, Inc. in December 2008.

Vona has an associate degree in nursing and is a member of the Society for Gastroenterology Nurses Association (SGNA).

Catherine M. Mussellwhite, MA – Clinical Supervisor

Catherine Musselwhite has been in the field of Health Care since 2001, having worked as a Manager for a large business retailer; She has 8 years previous managerial experience.

For the past 4 years, Catherine has been employed by Gastroenterology Associates of S. W. Florida, P.A., overseeing the daily operations of the clinic and maintaining the electronic health records system.

Catherine has been involved with numerous health fairs for our community and is an active member of her church where she volunteers for the Woman’s Retreat each year. In the past she was the Director of Children Ministries. She is also fluent in Spanish and Sign Language which are valuable skills that are needed to assist the members of our community and our patients at Gastroenterology Associates of S.W. Florida, P.A.

We've been featured in a news story! - Health Matters: Detecting AVMs with a pill camera

On November 6, 2011 Dr Weiss and Staff participated in the Crohn’s & Colitis 1.2 mile walk, “Take Steps to be Heard” at Lakes Regional Park in Ft Myers. Gastroenterology Associates had taken donations for the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation and will continue to support the cause. Barbara Cioffi our practice representative had set up a table for digestive awareness at the event and coordinated with physicians and staff to get involved. Employee of the Quarter
Congratulations! Janet Ramirez has been awarded the employee of the fourth quarter for 2011, she has been with the practice for 13yrs and is working in the Billing Office. Janet had been recognized by staff and management as a team player, she is someone who goes above and beyond. Great Job – Keep up the good work!
